Assessments

Dr. Nanda provides psychological assessments across the lifespan—from childhood through adulthood—for a variety of reasons, including diagnostic clarification, educational planning, treatment recommendations, and personal insight.

Each evaluation is tailored to the individual and guided by evidence-based tools within a collaborative, strengths-based approach.

Gifted/I.Q. Testing

Gifted testing is a process designed to identify children who demonstrate exceptional abilities or potential in specific areas such as academics, creativity, or leadership. This assessment typically involves administering a standardized intelligence test.

Dr. Nanda currently offers testing for children ages 4-16 years 11 months, using the most recent version of standardized IQ test(s): Wechsler Intelligence Test for Children-Fifth Edition (WISC-V) & Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI)

If your child achieves a score that is two standard deviations above the average (IQ=130), a report will be provided documenting the results and suggestion of gifted placement. The gifted assessment usually takes about two hours to complete and turnaround time for reports is approximately two to three business days.

Dr. Nanda offers two options: Basic evaluation and Comprehensive. We charge a flat fee for the evaluation, which includes test administration, scoring, interpretation, report writing, and consultation to discuss the results. Please contact us for the current rate.

Pre-operative Evaluations

Pre-operative psychological evaluations play a crucial role in ensuring a successful surgical experience. These assessments help identify any psychological factors that may affect recovery such as anxiety or unrealistic expectations. They typically consist of interviews, questionnaires, and discussions about medical history and personal circumstances, allowing healthcare providers to tailor their approach to each patient's needs. By addressing mental health alongside physical health, these evaluations contribute better outcomes and enhanced overall well-being for patients.

Evaluations rates vary depending on the complexity of one’s background history and the reason for the evaluation.

Cognitive Screeners

Brief cognitive screeners are essential tools designed to assess cognitive function in older adults quickly and effectively, but they are not meant to provide a definitive diagnosis. These assessments help identify early signs of cognitive decline, enabling timely intervention and support. These tests are often used as a first step in evaluation to determine if a more thorough assessment is needed. By utilizing these screeners, healthcare professionals can better understand an individual's cognitive health and create tailored care plans. â€‹â€‹

Adult Autism Evaluations

Our adult autism evaluations are strengths-based and person-centered. We use a collaborative approach that includes a comprehensive biopsychosocial interview, the MIGDAS-2, a sensory-based conversational tool, and the SRS-2, a standardized screener for social communication and behavior.

This process helps us understand your unique experiences and strengths, providing clarity and insight in a supportive and affirming way.

5

Personality Assessment

Our personality assessments offer insight into patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating to others. Using evidence-based tools, we help identify strengths, challenges, and personality traits that can support personal growth, clarify diagnoses, or guide treatment planning. Assessments are tailored to your needs and delivered in a respectful, collaborative process.
